ARC-A reader

The ARC-A reader by STid Security is the latest MIFARE® contactless chip technology to strengthen its security mechanism.
Its public encryption algorithm make use of 3DES, AES, RSA, SHA, encryption which is recommended by official data security agencies like the French national agency – ANSSI (Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information) which deals with all things related to cybersecurity.

Key features of ARC-A Reader

With the help of MIFARE® contactless chip technology, the ARC-A reader has a robust security mechanism in place.

The devices have been made under advisement from many data security official authorities as the French national agency ANSSI (Agence nationale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information). This agency handles all matters related to cybersecurity. The device uses 3DES, AES, RSA, and SHA for public encryption.

ARC-A Reader’s salient features

The following functionalities are available in the ARC-A SECARD software:

  • Protects virtual cards and program user RFID.
  • Makes programming readers master badges, either virtual or tangible.
  • Oversees security setups and keys.

Sensitive information is protected by the ARC-A Reader’s special tamper protection mechanism, which also makes it possible to remove the authentication keys. This feature makes sure that any attempts at tampering cannot outsmart it.

With its six interchangeable modules that may be linked to a single RFID core, the ARC-A Reader enables users to design their own unique configuration. Security access control is made easier by this configuration autonomy.

Additionally, customers can physically alter their equipment to blend in with the building’s design.  There are numerous customization options available for the ARC-A reader.
