When compared with conventional VRLA batteries, lithium-ion batteries have increased performance by adding up to ten times more discharge cycles and a double lifecycle than VRLA batteries. Additionally, these batteries exhibit superior performance at high temperatures (up to 40 °C), substantially reduced self-discharge, and up to four times faster recharge times, all while being lighter and more compact. The SLC Twin RT2 Lion series is a cost-effective option in terms of economics, as it eliminates the necessity for battery replacements and provides an extended useful life compared to the UPS’s anticipated lifespan of 10 years.
